Open Badge Passport offers you the possibility, as an individual, to create your own badges, to issue them to yourself or to others. These self-issued badges are called Self-claimed badges.
Connect to your Open Badge Passport account and go to the Badges section. In the side menu, click on Self-claimed badges, then on New badge (as shown in the screenshot below).
How to create a self-claimed badge?
Follow the different steps to create your badge (view screenshot below).
Note: You can choose to use a template offered by the Wikibadges.org community.
How to issue a self-claimed badge?
During the badge creation phase, once all the required fields have been completed, you can choose to preview your badge, save and exit (to modify it or issue it later), or issue it to yourself (or to someone else).
You can also choose to issue (again) a self-claimed badge at a later time. To do this, in the same section, click on the badge you want to issue.
Issuing a self-claimed badge to yourself
When you issue yourself a self-claimed badge, you have the option at this stage to add evidence (or documentation), request endorsements from your network, and finally define the visibility of your badge.
